Tornadoes of Light Photographed by Martin Kimbell
Four things every photographer should know how to do: take a photo of a reflection, take a photo of a hand, take a photo of him/herself, and take a photo showing perspective.

Collage made from confessions of anonymous rape/abuse survivors, submitted to a tumblr blog, painted over with acrylics. This college was meant to show how often things like this happen- overall the confessions received totalled to around 30 messages within half an hour. Just from one girl making one post on to a personal blog asking if anyone had experienced rape and abuse. A lot more than even I expected and utterly disgusting and terrifying. This is our culture.
This made me sad but it’s done anyway
it makes me want to cry that you did this because it’s so wonderful that you took pain and suffering and made it into something that will MOVE people, it’s shocking and bold and honest and I adore you so much.
Oh man I love you, thank you :-(
Oh wow, Georgia, this made me feel so emotional oh jesus
Ice and Snow Sculptures by Andy Goldsworthy
Ohhh I just adore Andy Goldsworthy! Ever since I saw his work in art school he left an impression that still informs and inspires me. Hailing from Scotland, he uses the tools of nature to create elegant works of art.
These are just some of his ice sculptures but he has SO MANY MORE:
It’s really something to see him sculpt these things! He goes out in the early morning before the sun rises so the ice is at it’s coldest and uses the heat of his bare hands to sculpt the ice, creating work like this that melts in about a day. What a badass.
And he doesn’t just work with ice, either. He makes temporal pieces out of anything that’s around him, like leaves….
Sticks and branches….
Seriously, though, check him out. The inspiration is well worth it.
this is…like the coolest thing i have ever seen hands down.

This is similar to my own style of drawing originally I struggled with realistic shadows and drawings so I started drawing like this and even though I can now draw fine I still prefer this style. It’s just become me.
